The Miami Heat made a few new additions to the roster this offseason. Pat Riley put them in a great position to compete for a championship this year.

Kyle Lowry is a former NBA Champion who will be the best point guard Miami has had in a long time. He has been one of the top scorers for Toronto for the last five or so seasons.

They also still have players like Jimmy Butler, Bam Adebayo, and Tyler Herro on the roster. All of them are very capable scorers who could get close to averaging 20 points per game.

With all of the talent on the team, who will end up taking charge in the scoring column? Who is going to lead the team in scoring this season?

Players who could lead the Miami Heat in scoring: Kyle Lowry

Speaking of Kyle Lowry, he very well could lead the team in scoring this year. They will definitely be a defensive-minded team this season, and the scoring will probably be fairly well-rounded.

Miami doesn’t have any elite scorers, so expect to see a bunch of players average around 15-20 points per game. Lowry is definitely one of the players who could end up doing this.

Lowry has averaged at least 14 points per game in each of his last eight seasons. He averaged more than 20 points in only two of those seasons (2015-16 and 2016-17).

If he can surpass the 20 points per game mark he will almost certainly lead the team in scoring. However, it’s far more likely that he’ll average around 13-15 points per game.
