Miami Heat: 3 Bold Predictions for Tyler Herro – Top Deep Shooter & 6th Man

My second bold prediction for Tyler Herro this year is that Herro will be in the Top 15 in 3-pointers made this season.

Top 3-Ball Shooter

This goes hand in hand with my previous bold prediction and will go hand in hand with my next bold prediction. Herro is a scorer and his ability to score from everywhere on the court will be valuable to the Heat this season.

Herro missed 18 games last season due to injury and managed to knock down 107 three-pointers, good for 2 per game. The Heat, aside from Duncan Robinson and Tyler Herro, no longer have players who shot over 35% from downtown.

This is where I think Herro will make an adjustment and start letting them fly from three. I am expecting Herro to reach 180-200 three-pointers made this upcoming season.

6th Man Of The Year

My third and final bold prediction for Tyler Herro this year is that Herro will be a 6th Man Of The Year finalist. Tyler Herro should be in the running for the 6th Man, as he should be the first heat player off the bench and should be an explosive scorer to help lead the bench.

As stated in the previous prediction, Herro can score from everywhere on the floor. With his ability to score, attack, and pass out of the pick and roll, I expect Spoelstra to use Herro aggressively off the pick and roll, ball-handoffs, and ball screens to maximize his shooting and play-making ability.

I also expect the Heat to manage Kyle Lowry and his minutes this season to make sure he is ready for their playoff run, which means we will likely see Herro play 30-plus minutes per game again this season. Plus, with the addition of his first child, I think will motivate Herro to play at a higher level.

Hopefully, it does, as the Miami Heat need all that he can muster up to give them. These though, have been his three bold predictions for the coming season and how I think he’ll get it done.
