The Miami Heat had a great offseason, that fact has been well-documented. Many news outlets have regarded it as the best offseason out of any team this summer.
They made a ton of moves including bringing in new players, as well as re-signing players from last year’s team. Pat Riley helped set them up to be a title contender this year.
Adding Kyle Lowry to the roster was a huge win. He was widely seen as the most sought-after free agent this offseason that was actually gettable.
He ended up signing a three-year deal to join the Miami Heat. Though not all teams were happy with the way it all went down, all that matters now is that he is in Miami.
Riley also brought in PJ Tucker and Markieff Morris. Both will provide quality power forward minutes for the Heat, which was a position of need for them last year.
As far as re-signing players, they managed to bring back five players from last year’s roster who were free agents. Duncan Robinson, Victor Oladipo, Dewayne Dedmon, Max Strus, and Gabe Vincent are all back with Miami.
Each and every one of those players could end up playing an important role for the Heat this season. Even Oladipo, who will spend most of the year rehabbing an injury, could come back and play a key role.
The Miami Heat even managed to put together a solid summer league roster full of promising players. There are a few guys on that team who could step up and actually earn regular-season minutes.
There were so many moves made, but which one stood out the most. What was the best offseason move Pat Riley made this summer?
