Re-ranking Bleacher Report’s “Big 3s” rankings to see where the Miami Heat should actually be

4. Golden State Warriors: Big Three: Stephen Curry, Klay Thompson, and Draymond Green

Let’s set the record straight. First, Draymond Green is no longer an All-Star level player. He’s failing to score even ten points per game. However, he plays his role so well that it makes everyone else around him better.

That is why the Warriors still have a Big Three. The unmatched wonder and awe of Steph Curry’s three-point shooting makes the Warriors a championship-contending team. This is the trio the Warriors won 73 games in a single season with.

BR’s biggest concern about the Warriors trio is that Klay Thompson has not played since 2019 after suffering two devastating injuries. BR argues that it is possible that he doesn’t return as the same player as before.

Considering the way Klay plays, this will not be a problem for him. He is arguably the greatest catch-and-shoot player of all time. He can shoot the lights out of an arena while rarely ever dribbling the ball. Golden State will be a title contender next year if all three of these players stay healthy.

3. Milwaukee Bucks Big Three: Giannis Antetokounmpo, Khris Middleton, and Jrue Holiday

After knocking out the Miami Heat this year and moving on to secure the NBA championship, it would be unfair to put Miami above this trio. Giannis Antetokoumpo is a top-five player in the NBA who takes care of things on both ends of the court.

Meanwhile, Khris Middleton is a streaky midrange shooter who constantly delivered in the clutch during the playoffs. On top of that, Jrue Holiday showed how well he can shut down some of the NBA’s biggest stars.

The biggest question with this trio comes with their consistency. Jrue Holiday and Khris Middleton had more than a few off nights in the playoffs. Even Giannis had some questionable moments in regard to his poor free-throw shooting and his settling for jump shots.

Still, they are coming off of a championship run. Their Big Three was a huge part of that. Now, they know the formula that works for them. When they execute to their full capability, they are nearly unstoppable together.
