Ranking NBA offseasons to see where the Miami Heat land

12. Memphis Grizzlies

The Grizzlies made a bunch of lowkey moves to improve their roster this summer. They traded for Eric Bledsoe and Steven Adams while also jumping up seven spots in the draft.

They then flipped Bledsoe for Patrick Beverley, Rajon Rondo, and Daniel Oturu, waived Oturu, and proceeded to trade Beverley for Jarrett Culver and Juan Hernangomez. The Summer League performance of Desmond Bane and the drafting of Ziaire Williams capped off a pretty decent summer for Memphis.

11. Detroit Pistons

Getting Cade Cunningham makes Detroit’s offseason a massive success. He is sure to be the new face of the franchise and will be a star for years to come.

That move alone catapults the Pistons towards the top of this list, and adding Kelly Olynyk is a decent move as well. Add in Luka Garza to the mix, and Pistons fans should be pretty satisfied with their offseason.

10. Atlanta Hawks

The Hawks re-signed John Collins and Lou Williams this summer, meaning their core players will be back for this season. Considering they made it to the Eastern Conference Finals, this is great for Atlanta.

They also picked up both Jalen Johnson and Sharife Cooper in the NBA Draft, while also trading for Delon Wright, which is great value for them. Overall, this was an amazing offseason for the Hawks.

9. Los Angeles Clippers

Re-signing Kawhi Leonard was exactly what the Clippers needed to do this summer, and they were able to get it done. They also managed to bring back Reggie Jackson, who played a big role for them in the playoffs last year.

They also re-signed Nic Batum, signed Justise Winslow, and traded for Eric Bledsoe. Drafting Keon Johnson, Jason Preston, and Brandon Boston Jr. capped off a pretty good offseason for the Clippers.
