Ranking NBA offseasons to see where the Miami Heat land

8. Boston Celtics

Despite losing Kemba Walker and Evan Fournier, the Celtics actually had a great offseason. They added Josh Richardson, Dennis Schroder, Al Horford, and Kris Dunn this offseason.

Their clear end goal is trying to sign Bradley Beal next summer, and with the moves they made, they’ll have enough cap space to do so. Finally, the Marcus Smart extension ended a great summer for Boston.

7. Brooklyn Nets

The Nets, despite already having a great roster, managed to get even better this summer. They signed Patty Mills and even inked Kevin Durant to a massive extension to keep him in Brooklyn for a while.

Drafting Cameron Thomas, Day’Ron Sharpe, and Kessler Edwards was also great for them. Re-signing Blake Griffin and Bruce Brown capped off a very successful summer for Brooklyn.

6. Houston Rockets

Similar to the Pistons, the Rockets saw the majority of their offseason success at the draft. They picked up Jalen Green, Alperen Sengun, Usman Garuba, and Josh Christopher.

They were also able to sign Daniel Theis, who will provide solid center minutes for them. However, their success at the draft was the highlight of a spectacular offseason for Houston.

5. New York Knicks

The Knicks not only brought back the majority of their core pieces, but they also added two great backcourt players. New York signed Kemba Walker and Evan Fournier, who will elevate the ceiling of their team.

After one of their best seasons in recent history, re-signing key players like Derrick Rose, Nerlens Noel, and Alec Burks was great for them. The Knicks should be able to have another solid season this year.
