The Miami Heat have had several months now… to do nothing but stew. Stew in the juices of defeat.

That would be… to stew in the juices of not only, defeat, but plain embarrassment. To add a little bit something extra… a pinch of something for robustness, they can now add to that recipe, the fact that this same team, they now-arch-nemesis Milwaukee Bucks, went on to win the whole thing.

They, not only, embarrassed the Miami Heat, supremely, in the first round, but they then ran that all the way to the NBA Finals. After that, it’s been nothing but humble bragging and Larry O’Brien Trophy celebrations for Giannis Antetokounmpo and his Milwaukee Bucks family.

The Miami Heat will have a chance to immediately avenge last season’s defeat. They open the season agains the world champs… the Milwaukee Bucks.

On October 21st though, all that comes to an end. The Miami Heat will, then, have their chance for revenge.

Building all offseason, for what seems like to beat Milwaukee, the Miami Heat will have a chance to instantly test the improvements that they think they have made this offseason. Their new-found toughness will immediately be put through the rigors to see if it can sustain as it should.

There is this. The Miami Heat were able to nab one of the Bucks’ key pieces from their title run this offseason.

P.J. Tucker now plays in South Beach and should not only come in handy when it literally comes to guarding Giannis, but he should also provide a schematical insight that no one else has, because he played him with them on their way to a title in this past season.

The Miami Heat couldn’t have asked for a better setup. They couldn’t have asked for a better opportunity.

It’s almost poetic. The very team that sent you packing, embarrassingly to end your season, is the same team that you open the very next season against.

It’s a beautiful thing to be honest. When it comes to “getting over something”, the old adage goes that you have to… bite the dog that bit you.

Now, this is a common termed used for hangovers, but in this case, it also applies. The Miami Heat can set themselves on a illustrious new path of success, by taking care of the guys who ended their paths last season.
