Miami Heat players who could win an NBA Award: Tyler Herro (Sixth Man of the Year)

As of now, it is unclear who the starters will be at the start of the season. However, seeing as he spent most of last season coming off the bench, Tyler Herro will likely remain in that role.

Herro is one of the best up-and-coming players in the NBA. He played super well during Miami’s 2020 Finals run, and still put up pretty great stats last season.

Most people believe he had a down year last season, but he actually improved in nearly every statistical category. The only statistic where he got worse was his three-point percentage.

With the amount of talent in the starting lineup this year, Herro will get the chance to be the premier player off of Miami’s bench. He will handle the majority of the scoring load.

Even though he’ll be a bench player, Herro still has a chance to be one of the Heat’s top scorers. Since none of their main players are necessarily score-first guys, he really has a chance to step up.

If put in the right circumstances, Herro could realistically lead the team in scoring. Him putting up around 20 points per game is not an unrealistic milestone for him to reach.

Depending on how good the Miami Heat are next year, Herro could possibly win Sixth Man of the Year. If they are a top team and he puts up great stats, he’ll definitely be one of the frontrunners to win the award.
