Who will lead the Miami Heat in the five main statistical categories?

Steals per game: Jimmy Butler

Jimmy Butler is one of the best perimeter defenders in the NBA. In addition, he is also one of the best players in the league at getting steals.

In fact, Butler led the NBA in steals per game last year and finished second in total steals behind TJ McConnell. With how good the Heat are shaping up to be, he could do it again this year.

Butler does have some competition on the Miami Heat this year, though. Both Adebayo and Kyle Lowry are pretty good at getting steals.

Regardless, it’s tough to beat someone who averages over two steals per game. Hopefully, Butler can reach that threshold once again this season.

Rebounds per game: Bam Adebayo

Last season, Bam Adebayo only averaged 9.0 rebounds per game, which was good enough to lead the Miami Heat. However, this number took a hit from the 2019-20 season.

Two years ago, Adebayo was able to average 10.2 rebounds per game. This year, he should be able to crack into the double digits once again.

Adebayo is constantly improving as a player, and since he is the team’s best big man, he’ll likely lead the team in rebounds. The only other players who could rival him in that category are Butler and, maybe, Dewayne Dedmon.

The pathway is clear for Adebayo to lead the team in rebounds. If he doesn’t, it would be nothing short of an utter shock.
