Which NFL position would each Miami Heat player play?
Duncan Robinson – Tight end
Duncan Robinson is great at catching the ball off of screens, so why not catch footballs instead? He’s too slow to play wide receiver, so tight end seems like the best fit.
He would be a 6-7, 215-lb tight end. Robinson certainly has the height to play the position, but he would definitely have to put on a few pounds to be effective as a blocker.
Bam Adebayo – Wide receiver
There are a ton of different positions Bam Adebayo could play, but wide receiver might be where he could thrive the most. He’s aggressive enough to be an elite defender, but could also transfer those skills to offense.
At 6-10, Adebayo could be the next Calvin Johnson, but even taller. He would be catching footballs over some of the league’s best cornerbacks.
Kyle Lowry – Quarterback
Kyle Lowry being such a great passer made this a super easy decision. His game IQ and passing vision would, hopefully, carry over to the NFL.
Despite being short by NBA standards, 6-0 is a solid height for a quarterback. He’s a great leader, and that’s a super important skill to have at QB.
Jimmy Butler – QB, RB, WR, CB, FS, SS
Jimmy Butler could literally play any position and do amazing. He has the vision to be a quarterback, the athleticism to be a wide receiver, the quickness to be a running back, and the defensive IQ to be a star in the secondary.
Realistically, he would probably thrive most as a wide receiver or cornerback. However, Butler might be the best football player on the Miami Heat regardless of what position he plays.
