Only diehard Miami Heat fans know these five players

2019-20 Miami Heat: Kyle Alexander

The only people who know about Kyle Alexander are those who watched every game of the 2019-20 season. That’s because Alexander only appeared in two games for the Heat that year.

He averaged 6.5 minutes per game and only scored two total points across both games. The 6-11 center only recorded one season in the league, and it was that one with Miami.

Alexander played with Miami’s G-League team, too, but his NBA chance got derailed with an injury. It was unfortunate timing, to say the least.

After a seemingly unsuccessful stint in the league, Alexander left to play overseas. He agreed to a deal to play in the Spanish Liga back in December of 2020.

2018-19 Miami Heat: Yante Maten

Yante Maten appeared in two games with the Miami Heat in the 2018-19 season. In those games, he totaled two points and three rebounds.

After a decorated college career, Maten struggled to make it in the NBA. He spent the majority of his time in the G-League with various teams.

Most notably, he was a part of the Maine Red Claws, Boston’s G-League affiliate. Maten also spent time with the Sioux Sky Force, the Heat’s G-League team.

Recently, Maten has been trying to mount an NBA comeback. He played for the Orlando Magic’s Summer League squad this offseason.
