Only diehard Miami Heat fans know these five players
2017-18 Miami Heat: Matt Williams
Matt Williams played in three games with the Miami Heat in the 2017-18 season. He managed to score five points and grab one rebound in those games.
The 6-5 guard spent most of his time with Miami’s G-League team. However, a slew of injuries on Miami’s roster allowed him to get the call-up.
Despite this, Williams was eventually waived so the Heat could sign Derrick Jones Jr. Since then, Williams has played for several overseas organizations.
He has played in five overseas leagues in five different countries. In total, Williams has played in Finland, Greece, Netherlands, Columbia, and, most recently, Poland.
2016-17 Miami Heat: Okaro White
Unlike most players mentioned in this article, Okaro White actually played in a decent amount of games for the Miami Heat. During the 2016-17 season, White appeared in 35 games.
He played 13.5 minutes per game in those contests. White averaged 2.8 points, 2.3 rebounds, and 0.6 assists while shooting 37.9% from the field and 35.3% from three-point range.
This was White’s rookie year, and he would go on to spend two more years in the NBA. He played with the Heat for one more season after this before joining the Washington Wizards for one year.
White has a long history of playing overseas, too, both before and after his stint with the Miami Heat. most recently, he signed a two-year deal to play in Greece.
