With the 2021-22 NBA season looming, the Miami Heat are preparing for another Finals run. The Heat made several important moves that put them in contention mode.

This includes the signing of Kyle Lowry and the re-signing of sharpshooter Duncan Robinson. However, in order for the Heat to win a title, everyone will have to be playing at their absolute best.

While there are many good players on the roster, some of them will have to improve their consistency in certain areas of their game. Here are the top three players that need to step up in order for the Miami Heat to win the title this year.

Miami Heat players that need to step up this season: Victor Oladipo

When the Miami Heat traded for Victor Oladipo, hopes were high that he could help sustain their success over a difficult and tiring season. Instead, Oladipo’s wealth only added to their long list of woes. He ended up only playing four games for the Heat last year.

Victor Oladipo is the Heat’s biggest wildcard for this year, but he could be the piece that puts them over the edge. The last season he was truly healthy, he averaged 23 points per game and led the league in steals.

He also has two All-Star selections under his belt. At his best, Oladipo is an All-Star guard who gets the job done on both ends of the floor.

The Heat signed Oladipo on a minimum deal this offseason. Based on what we have seen from Oladipo earlier in his career, he has a tremendous upside. The only setback is his health.

He needs to get back on the court and stay healthy. Luckily, recent reports indicate that Oladipo is progressing well; he could even be back for next season as early as November.
