After retiring from the NBA, every player takes a different route. Well, one Miami Heat legend is doing the most in his post-NBA days.
Some players decide to coach, some choose to relax, but Dwyane Wade is taking this time to do anything and everything. At the same time, though, he is dominating Twitter.
Wade has a lot going on in his post-NBA life, including hosting a TV show, writing a children’s book, and being an owner of the Utah Jazz. He spends a lot of time on the timeline promoting all of his projects.
The shooting guard legend has been more active than ever on social media. While he has done some things on TikTok and Instagram, too, Twitter has been his main platform of choice.
His main Tweet style of choice has been to retweet anything and everything. This includes fans who watch his show, read his book, and even just inspirational quotes.
The Cube, the game show Wade hosts, has taken up the majority of his time lately. The show airs on Thursdays on TBS and from the looks of it, is getting quite popular.
The clips being tweeted out by Wade are all super funny and lighthearted. The most recent clip is of him and two contestants singing Lean On Me by Bill Withers.
Other than that, Wade usually retweets random people who say they have enjoyed watching the show. It’s always fun to be recognized by a celebrity, and in this case, Wade is using that to promote his project.
Wade has also made it well-known that he is a part of the Utah Jazz organization. He is so deeply embedded in Heat Culture, that he needs the world to know that he’s a Jazz guy now.
He constantly jokes around with Ryan Smith, another owner of the Jazz, on Twitter. In addition, he ends up liking a ton of Tweets that include Jazz content.
As for the children’s book he wrote, Shady Baby, that project seems to be going well, too. He wrote the book with his wife Gabrielle Union, who is another big star in Hollywood.
Overall, Wade seems to be killing the game in retirement, all the while using Twitter to amplify that success. No matter how much he enjoys Utah, though, he’ll always be a member of the Miami Heat.
