Pat Riley put together a fairly well-rounded roster this offseason. By adding Kyle Lowry, he immediately helped catapult the Miami Heat into title contention.

There are offensive-minded players, defensive-minded players, and players who can do it all. It truly is a championship-caliber roster.

That being said, high expectations could lead to disappointment. While every Miami Heat fan wants to see players do well, that’s not always the reality.

Which players could end up disappointing fans this season? Who might not end up meeting expectations this season?

Miami Heat players who could disappoint this season: Omer Yurtseven

When the Miami Heat signed Omer Yurtseven to a two-year deal, the entire fanbase rejoiced. He absolutely dominated Summer League and it seems as though he could be ready to contribute at the NBA level.

However, since most people now expect so much of him, he may meet their standards. Yurtseven played well in Summer League, but he has yet to play against NBA level competition.

He primarily used his size and strength to score in Summer League, but he won’t possess those same advantages in the NBA. He’s a big guy, but there are a lot of big guys in the NBA.

The biggest advantage he will have is his three-point shot. However, even that hasn’t been the most consistent based on what he showed in Summer League.

Hopefully, he ends up playing up to his potential, but nothing is guaranteed. Yurtseven is going to have to put in a ton of work if he wants to truly compete at the NBA level.
