Veteran NBA free agents the Miami Heat should target: James Ennis

This is another name that has commonly been brought up. James Ennis fits in perfectly with the culture the Heat are trying to form this year.

Signing players like Kyle Lowry, PJ Tucker, and Markieff Morris signals that the Heat want to be a team that no one else wants to mess with. Signing Ennis would add to that well.

Ennis is a 3&D wing who plays with great energy and intensity. He’s been a consistently solid player for the Magic for the last couple of seasons.

He would be able to play some solid minutes for Miami and help enforce the great culture they have put in place. Ennis would be a great fit with the Miami Heat.

Veteran NBA free agents the Miami Heat should target: Tyler Johnson

Tyler Johnson played for the Miami Heat once upon a time. They ended up paying him the big bucks, and while that didn’t work out, he would still provide good depth on this roster.

Johnson played with the Brooklyn  Nets last year and didn’t get much playing time. That being said, he wouldn’t have to play a ton of minutes as the 15th man in Miami.

All Johnson would have to do is provide veteran leadership and some shooting off the bench when needed. The 15th man on the roster doesn’t play a lot anyways.

Having an extra guard off the bench would be great for the Heat. Johnson’s skillset would fit in well with what Miami needs.
