The Miami Heat put together a great roster for this season. They have a solid mix of young players, role players, veterans, and stars alike.

If all things end up going their way, there’s no reason this team couldn’t make a run at the title. However, no team has ever been perfect.

There is always room for improvement, even if the team doesn’t have the money or assets to make it happen. Miami will be rolling into the season with this roster, but what if they could add someone?

Which former Heat players would fit in perfectly on this current Miami roster? Who would be able to come in and make an immediate impact?

Former Miami Heat players who would fit well on the roster: Josh Richardson

Josh Richardson would be the perfect sixth man for this Miami Heat team. Unfortunately, he’ll be playing for one of Miami’s longtime rivals this season.

The 27-year-old wing played the best basketball of his career while in Miami. It was truly unfortunate that he had to be dealt in order to get Jimmy Butler.

His shooting, defense, and playmaking ability would make him the ideal sixth man for Miami. He and Tyler Herro could dominate opposing second units around the league.

Miami doesn’t have much wing depth as it is, so having Richardson around would be perfect. Outside of Butler and Duncan Robinson, the Heat don’t actually have any more wings.

His playstyle would mesh super well with the roster Miami has right now. If only he were available for the Heat to snatch up in free agency.
