Former Miami Heat players who would fit well on the roster: Jae Crowder

Losing Jar Crowder last summer was a heartbreaker for the Miami Heat. He would be an amazing fit with the team they have assembled for this season.

Pat Riley did a great job of adding players who play a specific brand of basketball. That brand is tough, hard-nosed players who leave it all on the court.

That description fits Crowder to a tee. His entire game is based on playing hard at all times and doing whatever it takes to win.

He would be able to play a very similar role for the Heat to the one he did during their 2020 Finals run. He was a big-time glue guy for that roster and played super valuable minutes throughout the postseason.

Similar to Richardson, Crowder would provide great wing depth for the Heat. However, he could also be inserted into the starting lineup at the four.

Crowder is a great 3&D player who would be able to space the floor for Bam Adebayo. He and PJ Tucker have very similar playstyles, but teams are always looking for more 3&D players to add to their rosters.

Instead, Crowder will be playing in Phoenix once again this year, looking to make it three Finals appearances in a row. It’s a shame Miami wasn’t able to keep him around last year.
