The Miami Heat have a great mix of young talent and veterans on their roster. It’s up to the veterans to lead the way, while the younger players need to focus on improving.

Having such a great mix of ages on the team puts Miami in a great place moving forward. They are good enough to compete right now, but will also have a great team for the next decade.

If the Heat want to reach their full potential, they need some of their young stars to take the next step. This doesn’t necessarily mean becoming an All-Star, it just means they need to grow as a player.

Which players on the Miami Heat have the best chance to blossom this season? Who could end up taking a massive jump?

Miami Heat players who could have a breakout season: Gabe Vincent

Based on recent reports, the Miami Heat plan on making Gabe Vincent the backup point guard this season. If he excels in this new role, he could end up taking a huge jump.

Vincent played very well with Team Nigeria this summer in the Olympics. If he can carry that consistency over to the NBA, it would help both him and the team.

Earning backup point guard duties will lead to a big-time increase in minutes for Vincent. He only averaged 13.1 minutes per game last season, but that is sure to go up this season.

Given the fact that he’ll play more minutes, Vincent has a great chance to improve as a player this year. He just has to prove he can be a consistent shooter and playmaker at the NBA level.
