The Miami Heat have assembled a super talented roster for the upcoming season. Adding Kyle Lowry and PJ Tucker was a huge win for the organization.

However, both of those players will likely be inserted into the starting lineup. The only players they added to their bench were Markieff Morris and Omer Yurtseven.

Both of those guys could end up being solid contributors, but there’s no go-to leader off the bench anymore. Now that Goran Dragic is done, the Miami Heat are in the market for a new sixth man.

Who is going to step up for the Heat this season? Who will end up becoming their sixth man on a game-to-game basis?

Candidates to be the new Miami Heat sixth man: Omer Yurtseven

Omer Yurtseven probably has the most difficult path to becoming the sixth man, but he still could do it. First, however, he needs to beat out Dewayne Dedmon for the regular backup center duties.

If he manages to do that, there’s no reason he can’t be the go-to guy off the bench. His offensive game is great, and he could provide a huge spark off the bench for Miami.

Perhaps the best part about Yurtseven’s game is the fact that he can stretch the floor. His ability to shoot threes could make him a lethal option for them in the second unit.

Yurtseven will be able to space the floor for others while also getting his own buckets down low in the paint. He could really be something special for Miami in a bench role.
