Candidates to be the new Miami Heat sixth man: Tyler Herro

This is by far the most obvious option, and likely the one Miami will choose to go without of the gate. Just like he has for the past two seasons, Tyler Herro will be featured in a bench role for the Heat.

He has come off of the bench in most of the games he has played in so far throughout his career. However, he has also found a ton of success in that role.

With Dragic gone, the Heat will probably hand him the keys as the sixth man to start the season. Herro will be afforded every opportunity to succeed in that role.

His shot-making and overall confidence make him the perfect player for the job, too. He could realistically end up scoring upwards of 20 points per game.

Miami does not have a ton of true shot creators on the roster. In fact, Herro might be their best player in regard to that specific skill.

If the Heat need someone to hit a big shot, Herro might be one of their go-to options to go to. He will certainly be the one taking most of the shots off the bench.

In the perfect world, Herro plays the minutes of a starter while coming off the bench. That’s the type of player he should be for the Miami Heat.

Herro could honestly be in the running for Sixth Man of the Year this season. He’ll have the chance to play that role for the Heat this year.
