The Miami Heat have a ton of talent on the roster this season. So much talent, in fact, that some starting-quality players will likely end up having to come off the bench.

When they signed Kyle Lowry, they signaled to the rest of the league that they would be competing for a championship. One of the most important keys when competing for a title? Depth.

Miami has some decent depth on the roster at most positions, but there are some others that could use some work. Which positions have the most depth and which lack just that?

Well, let’s take a moment to inspect every position on the roster and what the depth chart will look like. The obvious starting point is the point guard position.

As mentioned, Lowry was Miami’s big signing of the offseason, so it’s fairly obvious where his place in the depth chart will be. However, past that, there is some room for speculation.

As the season progresses, this depth chart could change a lot. Depending on how well certain players perform, others may be given a larger role to help the team.

It is also important to consider two-way players when thinking about the team’s depth chart. While the Miami Heat haven’t signed any two-way players just yet, they are bound to do so by the start of the year.

So, what will the point guard depth chart for the Miami Heat look like this season? Who will be the starter, who will be the backup, and who will fill in the spots past that?
