Ranking Miami Heat players from least to most untouchable

5. Tyler Herro

Despite all the trade rumors, keeping Tyler Herro would be in Miami’s best interests. He is young, talented, and still has a ton of room to improve as a player.

He could end up being their go-to sixth man this season. Unless they get a borderline All-Star in return, they should not trade Herro this season.

4. Kyle Lowry

Kyle Lowry’s massive contract makes him an unlikely trade candidate anyway, but the Heat should definitely not trade him regardless. He has the potential to make a massive impact on the team.

His offensive abilities should be able to help Miami go from a bottom-tier offense to a top-tier one. Hopefully, that improvement will lead to more playoff success.

3. Duncan Robinson

It may seem odd to say that Duncan Robinson is more untouchable than Lowry, but it’s just true. His role as a shooter is far too crucial to the success of the Heat.

He’s one of, if not the, best catch-and-shoot player in the NBA. Without him, the Miami Heat would be one of the worst three-point shooting teams in the entire league.

2. Jimmy Butler

The Miami Heat would never trade Jimmy Butler, and rightfully so. He embodies everything it means to be a part of the Heat organization.

They just signed him to a massive contract extension that will allow him to remain in the city for three more years. There’s a higher chance of the Thunderwinning the Finals than the Heat trading Butler.

1. Bam Adebayo

In no world should the Miami Heat trade Bam Adebayo. Not only is he a superstar player now, but he is crucial to the future of the organization.

Once Butler and Lowry retire, Adebayo will be the face of the Miami Heat. Trading him would be trading away the entire future of the franchise.
