On the second-night of a back-to-back, the Miami Heat hoped to see the complete opposite of a 47-point nightmare, in which they suffered just 24 hours before. If you recall, then there’s no need to remind you of the details.
If you don’t, then please view at your own risk. Due to the NBA’s Health and Safety protocols, schedule limitations were set among all 30 teams, as opponents would, therefore, play each other on consecutive nights to reduce both travel and contraction possibilities.
December 30th, 2020 was one of those nights, as the Heat hosted the Milwaukee Bucks for the second-straight game. Already holding the largest point differential in history (68 points, Cleveland defeated Miami 148-80), the Heat didn’t want to replicate another lousy defensive performance.
However, the season was still infant-early and the Heat were without several players, including All-Star forward, Jimmy Butler. Even still though, they were up to the challenge of facing Milwaukee, their Eastern Conference foe, for whom they eliminated in five games during the 2020 playoffs.
