Reflecting on Miami Heat NBA trade rumors this offseason: Tyler Herro

It feels as though the topic of trading Tyler Herro reared its ugly head every week this summer. At this point, though, it seems as if he will be on the roster to start the year.

Considering how young he is, this should delight Miami Heat fans everywhere. While there can be some perks to trading a player when they have a ton of value, it’s also super risky.

There were a ton of Herro trades thrown around at certain times. The one for Love and Sexton previously mentioned blockbusters for Damian Lillard or Bradley Beal, and even more.

While some of these deals may have been beneficial, there’s no proof any of them were actually on the table. Nothing is impossible, but it all seems highly unlikely.

In hindsight, it’s kind of wild how many people wanted to see Herro gone. Maybe it was just an influx of outsiders pouring in hate, but the amount of it was crazy.

There was even a report at one point that there was a 75% chance Herro would be traded. It obviously did not happen, but putting that high of a percentage on it seems ridiculous.

Regardless, it seems as though Herro is here to stay for now, as multiple members of the organization have expressed their faith in him. Hopefully, the rumors can stop for a little while.
