Ranking NBA starting point guards to see where the Miami Heat land

26. Dejounte Murray, San Antonio Spurs

Dejounte Murray has a ton of potential to be one of the best two-way guards in the league. He’ll have the chance to prove it this year as the Spurs enter what looks to be a rebuild.

25. Devonte’ Graham, New Orleans Pelicans

The Pelicans completed a sign-and-trade for Devonte’ Graham this summer in order to replace Lonzo Ball. Unfortunately, that’s a clear downgrade, as Graham is coming off a season where he struggled to shoot efficiently.

24. Spencer Dinwiddie, Washington Wizards

Spencer Dinwiddie has the most room to climb up this list, as he is coming off of a devastating injury. If he can play at the level he was a couple of years ago, his ranking with skyrocket.

23. Darius Garland, Cleveland Cavaliers

Darius Garland had a great season last year and emerged as one of the better playmakers in the league. It’s now up to him to improve even more and help lead the Cavs’ offense to a better season.

22. Marcus Smart, Boston Celtics

Coach Ime Udoka said that he wants to put the ball in the hands of Marcus Smart more, meaning he’ll probably be the starting point guard. If Smart can improve offensively, he’ll be a top two-way point guard in the league.

21. Kemba Walker, New York Knicks

After a disappointing final season in Boston, Kemba Walker will have the chance to prove his worth in his home state of New York. If he can stay healthy, there’s a chance he could be back to normal.

20. John Wall, Houston Rockets

When he was healthy, John Wall quietly put together a super productive season last year. He’ll be a veteran presence on a very young Rockets team this season.

19. D’Angelo Russell, Minnesota Timberwolves

Barring any changes, D’Angelo Russell should be the starter in Minnesota this year. Hopefully, he can get back to playing the way he did during his time in Brooklyn.
