Re-drafting the 2020 NBA Draft: 12. Desmond Bane, Sacramento Kings

The Kings take the biggest hit in this re-draft because they lose out on Tyrese Haliburton. That being said, they still get a stud in Desmond Bane, who will fit in beautifully off of their bench.

Bane surprised a ton of people last season with how well he played for the Grizzlies. He played well on defense, but his best skill was undoubtedly his three-point shooting.

He finished 13th in the NBA in three-point percentage (43.2%), and first among rookies. Bane is the perfect example of a prototypical 3&D guy who always makes an impact.

Looking even further into the future, the Kings would have some great wing depth this offseason. Since Buddy Hield wants out, having Bane would be a huge help.

They also don’t have a ton of depth at the wing in general, so picking Bane seems like a no-brainer. Losing Haliburton isn’t great, but at least they get a solid replacement in this re-draft.
