Re-drafting the 2020 NBA Draft: 13. Immanuel Quickley, New Orleans Pelicans

Original pick: Kira Lewis Jr

Kira Lewis Jr hasn’t panned out for the Pelicans quite yet, so instead, they go with a different guard. Immanuel Quickley jumps up in this re-draft and instead is heading to New Orleans.

Quickley burst onto the scene last year playing a great role for them off the bench. That would be the same role that he would get to play for the Pelicans – a great sixth man.

His scoring would be a major boost for New Orleans, but the biggest thing he would help them with is three-point shooting. The Pelicans were not a great shooting team, and Quickley shot 38.9% from range.

Having an extra guard off the bench would have been a huge boost for the Pelicans, seeing as they decided to start both of their point guards at once last year.

The Knicks lose out on their steal of a draft pick, but Quickley gets the chance to be a part of an exciting young core. He climbs the ranks in this re-draft, going twelve spots higher.
