Obi Toppin takes one of the biggest tumbles in this re-draft out of almost anyone in the entire class. He was originally selected eighth overall by the Knicks, but in this re-draft, the Nuggets take him at 22.

The Nuggets had a solid power forward lineup last season with Aaron Gordon, Jamychal Green, and Paul Millsap. That being said, having Obi Toppin around would definitely help their long-term plan.

Both Millsap and Green are older, so they could end up having a nice, young power forward to grow into the future with Nikola Jokic and Jamal Murray. The best part is, Toppin wouldn’t have to worry about contributing right away.

Toppin’s dominant style of play which he utilized in college didn’t really translate to the NBA right away. However, if put under the right system, he could end up finding a solid role.

There’s still plenty of time for Toppin to turn into a quality NBA player, but right now, he ends up falling in this re-draft. Hopefully, he can start to turn things around in his sophomore season.
