Re-drafting the 2020 NBA Draft: 29. Omer Yurtseven, Toronto Raptors

Defining the Raptors’ starting lineup last season is nearly impossible considering all their injuries. That being said, if he played as well as he has been playing now, Omer Yurtseven could have cracked it by the end of the season.

Yurtseven becomes the first undrafted player to make an appearance in this re-draft. He played so well in Summer League this season that the Miami Heat signed him to a two-year contract.

His ability to dominate the paint may not translate to the NBA right away, but he can also stretch the floor. This skillset would have helped out the Raptors a ton.

Since they chose to use Chris Boucher as their sixth man, there’s no reason Yurtseven couldn’t have found his way into the starting five. He’s a big, physical center who can do it all on the offensive end.

The current Miami Heat big man sees the biggest rise of anyone in this re-draft considering he quite literally was not selected in real life. In this hypothetical world, maybe he could have helped Toronto with their big man woes.
