Small trades to help the Miami Heat improve depth: Bryn Forbes

For the past few seasons, Bryn Forbes has been an absolute sniper from three-point range. While the Miami Heat already have some great shooters, it never hurts to have more.

Heat fans should know Forbes’ name by now because of what happened in the playoffs last year. He killed them in Round 1, scoring more points than Jimmy Butler in the first round.

While he obviously won’t be doing that on a regular basis, it does show that he has the potential to get hot at any time. Having a player like that on the bench could be a huge help to the Miami Heat.

The Spurs are in a weird place as an organization, as it seems as though they should rebuild, but that has never been their forte. If they make that decision, though, then Forbes could be on the trading block.

He’s only under contract for this season, making roughly $4.5 million. He would not hurt the Heat from a financial standpoint and likely wouldn’t cost them much to trade for.

Losing KZ Okpala may seem like a bad plan, but with the other young assets Miami has, they can afford to trade him. As for Dewayne Dedmon, he could become expendable if Omer Yurtseven plays well.

A three-point trio of Duncan Robinson, Max Strus, and Forbes would be a deadly combo. Forbes would make a great addition to this Miami Heat team.
