Best Miami Heat trades in the last 5 years: 2. Jae Crowder

This trade was made just a couple of seasons ago. It brought three solid pieces to the Miami Heat who all helped them on their way to the 2020 NBA Finals.

Miami received Jae Crowder, Andre Iguodala, and Solomon Hill in the trade. In return, they gave up Justise Winslow, Dion Waiters, and James Johnson.

Winslow ended up in Memphis along with Waiters, while Johnson was shipped to Detroit. Overall, it seems as though the Heat got the best end of the deal by far.

All three players they got in return played some sort of role in the 2020 Finals run. Some played a larger role than others, but they each did their part.

Hill didn’t necessarily make a huge impact on the stat sheet, but he had a big impact on their time in the Bubble. His energy and overall presence on the team was crucial.

Iguodala ended up playing a decent amount of minutes in the Bubble for the Heat. He was one of their top bench players in the playoffs.

Lastly, Crowder played a giant role in their success during the 2020 season. He started every single playoff game for the Heat in 2020, bringing elite defense and shooting.

Considering what they gave up, this trade ended up being a whopping success. It sits at number two in these rankings.
