Miami Heat: Bam Adebayo Needs To Be ‘Brooklyn Aggressive’ At All Times

Averaging 12.5 attempts last season and a number that was up by 1.5 from the previous year, he increased his scoring average by three points with just that 1.5 shot increase. While it is already certain that it can only be a net positive for him, his teammates, and the team as a whole, he increases his points average by around 5-6 points by adding 2.5 more field goal attempts.

That would take him from 18.6 points per game this past season, to nearly 25 points per game. That’s a major jump, where he should be headed, where he should be looking to go, and something that would drastically benefit the Heat’s quest for a title.

Listen, this isn’t gospel, so the projections based on trajectory could be a little off. However, the science and the logic behind them is not only appropriate, but it’s absolutely correct.

There are too many times where he has an open look, lane, or space to create for himself… or someone else even and doesn’t capitalize on it.

That that same aggression that’ll lead to him taking the 15 shots per game, is the same aggression that will, not only, allow him to fully dominate in all those situations but fully become the dominant force of a player that he can, should, and if the Miami Heat Culture has a say in it… will be throughout the rest of his career.
