The Boston Celtics switch up their game plan with the fourteenth overall pick. Instead of going with a wing, they take power forward Brandon Clarke here.

Boston originally selected Romeo Langford with this pick. He has shown flashes of promise during his short career, but injuries have hindered his ability to truly thrive.

Clarke has proven to be a very valuable piece off of the Memphis Grizzlies’ bench so far in his career. He struggled a bit in his sophomore season, but he played very well in his rookie year, displaying his full potential.

He is sort of a jack-of-all-trades at the power forward position. He provides some solid floor spacing, while also being an extremely versatile player on the defensive end.

Having that versatility off the bench would be a huge boost for the Boston Celtics, as they have struggled with power forward depth. Clarke jumps up six spots as the Celtics take him fifteenth overall.
