This is a phenomenal pick for the New Orleans Pelicans and marks the first time an undrafted player is taken in this re-draft. The Pelicans go with Lu Dort at pick seventeen.

Their original pick, Nickeil Alexander-Walker, is off the board at this point. However, they still get a great player, who will actually help them out more on the defensive side of the ball.

To put it simply, Dort is already one of the best perimeter defenders in the NBA. He made headlines for his intense defense during his time in the Bubble.

Last season, Dort even managed to improve his three-point shooting on top of that. He averaged 14.0 points and managed to get up to around league average from deep on a bunch of attempts per game.

With this pick, the Pelicans get a great defender to pair alongside Coby White and Zion Williamson, as well as a potential three-point threat. Dort is the pick here at seventeen in this re-draft.
