The San Antonio Spurs take a huge loss in this re-draft, as they lose out on Keldon Johnson, who went tenth overall. They end up taking Jarret Culver instead, who takes a massive fall.

Johnson has given the Spurs some great minutes at the four for the Spurs so far in his short career. He has the potential to be a great forward for years to come, but the Spurs don’t get the chance to take him here.

They go with Culver in this re-draft, who was originally taken sixth overall in the real 2019 NBA Draft. Despite his lackluster performances, Culver could still have some solid potential.

If given the chance to play in the Spurs’ system, he might be able to tap into some of that potential. Minnesota is a fine franchise, but the Spurs have always done a great job at developing talent.

Spurs fans won’t be happy about losing out on Johnson here, but that’s the name of the game. They’ll just have to settle for Culver in this 2019 NBA re-draft.
