Miami Heat Roundtable: Laying Out The Final Record Predictions – Noah’s Take

The Miami Heat will win a lot of games this year, that’s for sure. With the roster upgrades they made, they should drastically improve on both ends of the floor.

That’s saying a lot, considering the Heat were a top five defense last year. Their best upgrade was Kyle Lowry, who can provide elite playmaking along with 15-18 points each night and a gritty defensive propensity.

One of their most important additions will prove to be their defensive depth. Several players can support Bam Adebayo by covering their opponents’ bigs, including players like P.J. Tucker and Markieff Morris, along with some other players.

Jimmy Butler is the biggest factor in determining how many games the Heat will win this season. Last season, Jimmy Butler missed 20 games for various reasons.

The Heat went 7-13 when Butler did not play. Expect Butler to play more games this season.

The Heat will win around 50 games this year, but I have them finishing just short of the mark. The East is getting tougher and it will be hard to take down teams like the Nets and the Bucks.

Record Prediction: 49-33

However, the Heat should be able to steal a few games in each season series. Also, the Miami Heat seem to drop a few games each year that they shouldn’t.

So, accounting for that, they will win a few less games than they are capable of winning.
