Unexpected free agents the Miami Heat could sign: Troy Daniels

Troy Daniels did not play on an NBA team last year. However, he has been a fairly productive player throughout the course of his career.

During the 2019-20 season, he spent time with both the Lakers and the Nuggets. He has always been known for his three-point shooting, and that is exactly what he would help the Miami Heat with.

Daniels wouldn’t have to play big minutes, but his shooting could provide a nice spark off the bench. Just in case players like Max Strus and Duncan Robinson are having a slow day, having an extra shooter would be nice.

The 15th man on the roster shouldn’t be expected to play regular minutes. However, Daniels is a savvy veteran who is still fully capable of helping a contending team in limited minutes.

Unexpected free agents the Miami Heat could sign: Damyean Dotson

Last season, Damyean Dotson struggled shooting the ball from deep. However, he has shown the potential to be a really good spark plug off the bench in years past.

During his time in New York, Dotson averaged almost eight points per game while shooting league average from deep. Having this sort of production could be a huge help for the Heat.

On top of that, Dotson is still only 27 years old. While that may seem on the older side, Miami has been known for developing players into very productive shooters.

If the Miami Heat can take Dotson and turn him into a quality bench player, that would be a huge win. They have always been great at finding the diamonds in the rough.
