Best trade the Miami Heat made with the Denver Nuggets: Chris Gatling and Eddie House

Though this was a fairly even deal overall, this was the best one from the perspective of the Miami Heat. Chris Gatling only played 54 games in South Beach, but Eddie House ended up playing 225.

House played a few seasons in Miami at the start of his career, and also ended up playing one season for the Heat in the final year of his career. He never averaged a ton of points, but he was always a solid shooter for them.

Meanwhile, in Gatling’s one season with the Miami Heat, he didn’t really do much. This was his second stint with the Heat, and he was never really a big-time scorer in either one.

As for Denver, Lenard was the best player they got out of the deal, as he ended up playing 239 games there. Strickland only played 46 games for the Nuggets.

The main reason this trade was the best for the Miami Heat is that the other two trades were not great. Out of the two of them, one seemed kind of useless, while the other one Miami probably lost.

Regardless, getting House, who was a very young player at the time, ended up working out well for the Miami Heat. This wasn’t the most flashy trade, but it wasn’t too bad for either side.
