The Miami Heat play their fourth game of the preseason tonight as they take on the Charlotte Hornets. Miami will be looking to remain undefeated while the Hornets are still searching for their first win.

Last game, the Heat managed to squeak by the Spurs while resting a good chunk of their starters. Tyler Herro and Duncan Robinson did end up playing a ton of minutes, though.

This might end up being the plan for the rest of the preseason, as there’s no need to risk injuries with Miami’s stars. That being said, will they still be able to take down the Hornets tonight?

Tonight’s inter-divisional contest tips off at 7:30 p.m. (EST). It can be streamed on Bally Sports Sun, as well as on NBA League Pass for those who subscribe.

For the first time in two games, the Miami Heat are back home at FTX Arena. It will be their second-to-last home game of the preseason.

Recent games

Miami is 3-0 thus far in their preseason campaign. While last game ended up being fairly close, the first two games they played saw them dominate their opponents to a degree.

Herro has led the way in the scoring department for the Heat and is also the league leader in scoring this preseason. He has been on an absolute tear, and no defender has been able to stop him.

Meanwhile, players such as Max Strus and Omer Yurtseven have also been fairly impressive. Even Micah Potter managed to show out last game, putting up 13 points and 17 rebounds.

As for the Hornets, they have not had nearly as much success as Miami. They are 0-2 so far this preseason, and their last loss was an absolute blowout vs. the Grizzlies.

Rookie James Bouknight has been their best player and even leads the team in scoring. As for the rest of the team, outside of Gordon Hayward and Terry Rozier, they have really struggled shooting from range.
