Miami Heat vs. Hornets preseason preview, injury report, and info: Injury report

The Miami Heat once again have a fairly lengthy injury report going into tonight’s game. A lot of players are questionable, and most of them are Miami’s younger prospects.

Most of the players on the list were the ones who sat out last game. Marcus Garrett, Gabe Vincent, KZ Okpala, Dru Smith, and Caleb Martin are all listed as day-to-day.

All of these injuries combined to lead to a very interesting approach last game. Instead of playing his starts a lot, Erik Spoelstra whittled his rotation down to just right players.

Udonis Haslem is reportedly back with the team after taking time to grieve after the death of his father. It was reported that he was back at Miami’s most recent practice.

Lastly, Victor Oladipo still remains out, and that is not likely to change for some time. Expect to see him sometime around November at the very earliest.

The Hornets have a few players listed on their injury report, too. Terry Rozier is out and Kelly Oubre Jr. is listed as day-to-day.

Meanwhile, both Gordon Hayward and Mason Plumlee are also out. They are both listed as out due to COVID-19 health and safety protocols and will not appear in tonight’s game.
