Bleacher Report often puts out articles of potential moves they could see happening around the league. Well, the Miami Heat were involved in one of their recent posts.

The article centered around three-team trades that would shake up the league. The Heat were involved in a trade alongside two of their Eastern Conference Rivals – the Nets and the 76ers.

The trade, concocted by Grant Hughes, sees each team get a new point guard. In the case of Miami, however, this may not be a good thing.

Miami Heat trade Kyle Lowry for Kyrie Irving in latest Bleacher Report article

In the deal, the Miami Heat would receive Kyrie Irving and a 2023 second-round pick from the 76ers. Meanwhile, Ben Simmons would be sent to Brooklyn and Kyle Lowry would be sent to Philadelphia.

In addition, the 76ers would get Cam Thomas and two first-round picks from the Heat (2025 and 2027). Victor Oladipo would also be sent to the Nets in the trade.

So, in conclusion, the Miami Heat would be giving up Kyle Lowry, Victor Oladipo, and two future first-round picks in exchange for Kyrie Irving and a second. Does that seem worth it?

First and foremost, the Miami Heat would be giving up on a player who they just signed to a huge contract. They obviously love Lowry, and he looked great in the preseason for them.

His connection with Jimmy Butler is something that can’t be replicated. The two already get along so well that it seems silly to trade him away in his first season in South Beach.

On top of that, they would be giving up Lowry for someone who has been known to cause issues in the locker room. As great of a player as Irving is, he has been the cause of drama for years now.

While he would be able to play home games in Miami, Irving would still be forced to sit out games in New York and San Francisco. What happens if the Miami Heat play the Nets in the playoffs?

The logical solution to this trade is to not do the trade at all. The 76ers and Nets should engage in their own talks about trading Simmons and Irving for each other.

There is no reason for the Miami Heat to be involved in this trade. That being said, is this something you would be interested in, Heat fans?
