Trades to help beef up the Miami Heat rotation: Garrett Temple

This is another trade where the Miami Heat would potentially improve their wing depth. This time, however, they would be trading with the New Orleans Pelicans.

New Orleans is off to a not-so-hot start to the season and is sitting at 1-3. In fairness to them, Zion Williamson has not been playing thus far due to a nagging foot injury.

Regardless, they have not been playing Garrett Temple a lot this year as they attempt to develop some of their younger players. He’s only averaging around 14 minutes per game.

This is despite the fact that the Pelicans extended him this past offseason. Even so, the Miami Heat could look to offer them a young asset in exchange.

The trade would send KZ Okpala and Markieff Morris to New Orleans. They would receive a young talent to develop, as well as some depth at the forward position in Morris.

Meanwhile, the Miami Heat would get some great wing depth. Temple is a solid 3&D veteran who would be able to play some bench minutes for Miami.

This trade would work out well for both sides, but it depends on what New Orleans’ priorities are. Temple would be a nice addition to the Miami Heat.
