Takeaways from the start of the Miami Heat season: Three-point shooting & Kyle Lowry injuries

Three-point shooting

The team’s three-point shooting as a whole has been rough, but two players stand out in particular – Kyle Lowry and Duncan Robinson. Both of them have struggled mightily from range so far.

The worst part about that is that those are the two players Miami gave a ton of money to this offseason. In addition, both were expected to be great three-point shooters this year.

Robinson is shooting right around 30% from deep, while Lowry is shooting less than 20%. Those are absolutely horrific numbers for both players.

They have plenty of time to turn it around, but it’s been rough so far this year. However, right now, things are looking rough for these two guys.

Kyle Lowry injuries

Kyle Lowry finds himself involved with another one of the bad takeaways to start the year. However, in this case, it isn’t necessarily through any fault of his own.

Lowry has been dealing with injuries to start the year, and they very well could be impacting his level of play. He’s shooting terribly from the field right now.

As of now, he is still listed on Miami’s injury report going into tonight’s game vs. the Hornets. He may be listed as probable, but he is still unfortunately on the list.

These injuries are something that some people brought up when the Miami Heat signed him due to concerns about his age. Hopefully, they don’t become a trend throughout his tenure with the Heat.
