The Miami Heat are off to an amazing start to their 2021-22 season so far. With huge wins over the two favorites coming into the season, the Milwaukee Bucks and the Brooklyn Nets, it’s hard to imagine things getting much better for the Miami Heat.

Well, they continue to do so. When you look at their team rankings and though they struggled shooting the three prior to Saturday night’s win over Memphis, they are among the league leaders on both offense and defense.

When it comes to their offense, they come in at fourth in the league, averaging 114 points per contest. When you look at their defensive metrics, they are also among the best in the league, where some would call them the very best in the league right now.

The Miami Heat are among the league’s best right now, if not the very best, themselves. That’s no shocker though, especially when you see this.

Outside of the raw numbers, you can look at some of their early-season accomplishments and see the coming of good things in their future. When you look at their last two contests, both wins, they defeated, both, the league-leading scorer and the league-leading scoring team.

Basically and on back to back nights, the Miami Heat took down the most potent team in the league, the Charlotte Hornets, before turning around to take down the league’s leading scorer the following night, Ja Morant. Mind you, they got the second win without the services of Bam Adebayo, who’s been key for them this year.

How much so? Well, that’s the reason for being here.

When you look at the Miami Heat’s two top stars, Jimmy Butler and Bam Adebayo, they both rank in the top-10 of Basketball Reference’s NBA MVP Tracker Tool. That’s pretty impressive stuff.

Sitting at the very top of the list is, none other than, Jimmy Butler. Sitting a few spots below him, at number six on the list, is Bam Adebayo.

While the season is still very very young, this will, certainly, change. However and indicative of their great team success, at the moment, having their two top guys among the top-six candidates is not only iimpressive, but illuminating about their success so far.

That’s a great thing for Miami Heat Faithful. It’s terrible for the rest of the league though.
