The Miami Heat were bound to have a game soon where they would struggle, but who knew or could see that it would come like this? In a game against a Boston Celtics team that had just needed their very own players only meeting to see if they could sort through their own issues, the Miami Heat came out and looked really poor.

Here’s the thing about it. The Miami Heat weren’t giving a lackluster effort or anything like that, they just couldn’t get right.

It really makes no sense, as they were losing balls, having things tipped away, and just simply couldn’t make the plays they typically do. The lack of ability to hit shots even came to the forefront on Thursday.

Duncan Robinson looked as if he was going to have a night, but he began to quickly cool off after a few early makes, though he has struggled all year it seems. Tyler Herro struggled to ever get going too, having his worst game of the season.

The Miami Heat lost to the Celtics on Thursday. They weren’t sharp and looked nothing like the team they’ve been with Kyle Lowry in tow early on.

Kyle Lowry wouldn’t finish the contest for the Miami Heat, going down with an ankle injury later in the game, which simply, added to the misfortune of it all. This was not the Miami Heat’s night and it was clear very early on.

There is something… not good but not so terrible to take from this one though. The Miami Heat weren’t themselves.

Losing never feels good and neither did this, however, being the same team they had been for most of the year prior to this with Kyle Lowry on the floor and losing would have been way worst. There are levels to that too though.

Were they not sharp because they just didn’t have it? Or, is the Celtics defense to be credited for what happened?

It’s too early to tell right now, but you hope that it was the former. They don’t have much time to get it together though, as they have the Utah Jazz coming in on Saturday.

That’ll be another tough game before they head out on a road trip that starts in a place they always struggle to win in, Denver. Either way though, they’ll have to be crisper than they were Thursday in any game they plan to win because they just weren’t sharp, at all.

That’s really all you can say.
