Miami Heat: If Jimmy Could Attack Just A Little Less, It May Keep Him Healthier

Jimmy Butler is also a player who frequently attacks the basket. Butler is adept at drawing fouls and scores the majority of his points this way. The issue is that driving to the basket also happens to be where all of the injuries happen.

The Miami Heat need Jimmy Butler to be healthy if they are going to have any chance to contend for a championship this year. To do that, would it make sense for him to attack less and take more jump shots?

Butler has a pretty solid mid-range shot, so he could definitely drain more than a few of those each game. If he decides to take this approach, he could still have a big impact on the team’s win column.

And it doesn’t mean that he should never take an inside shot until the playoffs come around. Like LeBron, he can attack the basket when the opportunity presents itself or when his team desperately needs a bucket in the late game.

The Miami Heat can be one of the biggest contenders to win it all this year, as long as they can stay healthy. What is most important though is keeping their best player, Jimmy Butler, on the court.

If it’s possible that he can take fewer inside shots while also still leading the Heat to a winning season, then taking the LeBron James approach to the regular season is something he should definitely consider.
