Miami Heat Fantasy Basketball: Tyler Herro Returns Big Against Indiana
The Miami Heat and Indiana Pacers squared off at the FTX Arena on Tuesday evening. Miami returned home for the first time in over a week and welcomed an Indiana team that had four off days to prepare for this contest.
Despite ample rest days, Indiana looked completely lost on the Heat’s home court. Miami’s smothering defense held Indiana to under 36 percent shooting from the field in a 29-point Miami Heat victory.
After recovering from a quad injury, Tyler Herro returned to the Heat lineup and assisted in the dismantling of the Pacers. With his return, fantasy managers should plug him into starting lineups straight away.
Despite only scoring eight points on the night, Kyle Lowry once again led the Heat in fantasy scoring.
The Miami Heat and Indiana Pacers squared off Tuesday evening. Tyler Herro returned to the lineup too and assisted in smashing the Pacers, 125-96.
Lowry finished a bucket shy of a triple-double and on his way to 42.2 fantasy points.
Omer Yurtseven (35.1 fantasy points) and Herro (34.7 fantasy points) came off the bench and ended second and third, respectively, in fantasy scoring for the Heat. Yurtseven has been rebounding at an incredible rate over the Heat’s past few games.
Starters, Duncan Robinson and Max Strus, spearheaded Miami’s three-point barrage against the Pacers. Robinson connected on six of his 10 attempts, while Strus splashed four of his 12 shots from deep.
As a team, Miami has provided exquisite fantasy value from three-point land in December. If a fantasy manager needs more of a punch in that category, several of the Heat’s shooters should be available on a league’s waiver wire.
On a night that saw every Heat player end with a positive plus/minus, Miami got a much-needed bounce-back win after an unfortunate loss in Detroit.
With two more games remaining on the schedule this week, the Miami Heat should continue to provide excellent fantasy value for the remainder of Week 10. That continues on Thursday, as they welcome the Pistons into their place for a dish that’s best served cold.
