Ranking Miami Heat’s Christmas Wins: Quite A Few LA/MIA Matchups…
What happens when the two best guards in the world matchup on Christmas Day and the game is being televised in front of millions of viewers? You expect a dog fight.
7. 2006- Los Angeles Lakers at Miami Heat
That means a battle of the gods. That’s the type of game where you might get two 40-point games.
Well, we saw one 40-ball and it came from Dwyane Wade. This game wasn’t even close, as the Heat won, 101-85.
This game gets a nice nod from me because of how proud you had to be at Wade.
He took Bryant to school, scoring 40 points on 12-20 shooting, even also finding his teammates for 11 assists.
Not to mention how he stayed sending shots to the fifth row with four blocks! Bryant finished with 16 points on 4-17 shooting, which is quite impressive for the Heat, as Kobe was firmly in his prime and had a monster year scoring-wise.
You should remember thanking people for your gifts and then thanking Dwyane Wade, as you watched basketball brilliance. I mean he was doing it all.
You had behind-the-back passes, back door slams, blocking shots into the crowd, stealing the ball from Kobe, and just overall, making the game look effortless. So, thank you Flash.
The Heat wore their white as the Lakers wore their purple. That’s always aesthetically pleasing.
