Once again, another battle with LA. This time it was the Big 3 of Miami against the then-defending NBA Champions of Los Angeles.

The lights were shining bright on this one, as the league’s three best players gathered in one arena to put on a show. This game was so impactful for the Heat’s trio, as they were looked at as a Finals team, now facing the reigning Finals winner.

They struggled at the start of their season, but turned it around, and were ready to make an example of the champs. They were successful.

The Heat had a convincing, 96-80, win and though the Heat didn’t really blow them out, they never let LA feel as if they had a chance to come back.

The Big 3 had monster games, as James had a triple-double with 27 points, 10 rebounds, and 11 assists while shooting an impressive 5-6 from three-point land.

Chris Bosh had 24 points and 13 rebounds, along with a nasty poster and-one dunk at the start of the game. Wade had a solid all-around game with 18 points, five rebounds, and six assists, along with a vintage double-team split that led to a vicious dunk that shook the rim.

The best part of it all was seeing Bryant and James go at it, especially with the trash talk. The two best hoopers in the game competing against one another on the best holiday in the world was an amazing feeling.

You had to love it! The Heat wore their classic red with a nice little snowflake on the right shoulder.

David Stern definitely got an A for effort there.
